Hello! I'm Yrythaela. I'm a game developer and right now, I'm developing Fate Changer. My first ever published game. Please do take a look and leave your thoughts in the comments!
I'm a new indie game developer wanting to rise through the very tough competitions. That's my dream goal. But for now, I want to make something that I'm proud of. Hence, Fate Changer.
Fate Changer was a turning point in my life because I found my passion. That is, game developing.
RPG Maker MV, the first ever thing that I bought as a game engine. I played with it around. The first game I made was called "Imbued Calamity" I didn't get to finish it since I didn't have time before. Here's the title screen for it.
Now, I'm working on Fate Changer, a difficult, fast paced, role playing game. I took inspiration from Dark Souls and Bloodborne, both made by FromSoftware. The way they implement the difficult fights and still makes the players wanting to play it again and again is something that I'm truly amazed at. I want to make that urge of enjoyment in my game too.
Well for two reasons.
One, I want to be proud of something. I'm usually just jumping around hobbies trying to find one. From making youtube videos, playing instruments and such. But I don't find the right... "drive" for it.
Two, I want to be recognized. Not by some bigshot company or anything. I just want my games to be viewed by at least someone. You know? I mean, I'm an indie dev from nowhere. I don't have any special backgrounds or anything. I'm just... that guy. I want to be realized and recognized so that I can say, "I made that."
I want to finish The Sinners who Never Sinned. My new upcoming game. No matter how long it takes. No matter how difficult it is. I want to be proud of myself when I show this game to other people and say "I made that. I did that." I want this for myself and for my future also in which is still foggy at the moment.
I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing this. I want to share my journey. I want to be recognized. I want to say "I made that." to people who appreciates with what I'm doing.
